UGC hosts workshop on innovation for services

University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh has organised a discussion meeting related to raising awareness on innovation for services to citizens recently at the UGC Auditorium.

The objective of the meeting is to reach the services to the doorsteps of people at easiest way.

UGC Chairman Professor Abdul Mannan graced the function as the Chief Guest while Professor Dr Mohammad Yousuf Ali Mollah, Member, UGC, presided over the meeting, says a press release.

UGC Members Professor Dr Dil Afroza Begum, Professor Dr Md Akhtar Hossain and Professor Dr M Shah Nowaz Ali delivered their speeches as the Special Guests. Dr Md Khaled, Secretary, UGC, delivered the welcome address on the occasion.

UGC Chairman, in his speech said that innovation is an integrated part of national integrity strategy in services to the citizens. Innovative idea in citizen services is highly needed for making activities of an organisation transparent, dynamic and easier. He urged its officials to discharge their duties with sincerity, skills and innovative way. Punctuality, economic management and national integrity strategy are essential for reaching citizen services to the people’s doorstep.

Professor Yousuf Ali Mollah, in his presidential speech said that the present government is relentlessly working for establishing good governance through undertaking various time befitting steps. He called upon all concerned to perform their duties systematically and effectively.

High officials of University Grants Commission of Bangladesh were present.
