Professor Dr Peter Hooda and Professor Dr Rosa Busquets of Kingston University London, United Kingdom called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman today (Thursday) at the latter’s office of the university.
Chairman of the Department of Geology of DU Prof Dr Kazi Matin Uddin Ahmed and professors of the Department of Soil, Water and Environment of DU Dr AHM Mostafizur Rahman and Dr Md Jashim Uddin were present on the occasion.
During the meeting they discussed the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programmes on arsenic, water management and nanotechnology by the University of Dhaka and Kingston University London, reports BSS.
Later, Prof Peter Hooda and Prof Rosa Busquets delivered lecturers at a seminar on “Drinking Water Contamination and Options for Contaminant Removal” at the Department of Geology of DU.
