Two DU students get 'Director’s Award'

Two meritorious students of the Institute of Health Economics of Dhaka University(DU) have got ‘Director’s Award’ for securing the highest CGPA in their BSS (Honours) and MSS examinations respectively. Awardees are Muhammad Ihsan-Ul-Kabir(BSS) and Md Regaul Azim (MSS).

DU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman handed over this award to the brilliant students as Chief Guest on Tuesday at Mozaffar Ahmed Chowdhury auditorium of the university.

Director of the Institute of Health Economics of DU Professor Dr Syed Abdul Hamid presided over the function while Professor Dr Shamsuddin Ahmed and Professor Nashid Akhter Jahan addressed it.

DU VC Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman urged the students to play pioneering role to make DU campus neat and clean as well as free from drugs.

He also called upon the students to equip themselves with moral values to meet social needs. They have to be prepared as worthy citizen by utilising their time properly, the VC added.
