Two-day career festival to begin Thursday

More than 100 public and private organisations will join together to hunt new employees at a two-day career festival to be held from Thursday in the capital.

The BRAC University is organising the fair, titled 'NRB Jobs Presents National Career Fair-2019'' under the theme of ''Campus to Corporate', at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in Dhaka.

The information was revealed at a press conference at the Jatiya Press Club on Monday. Director of student affairs of BRAC University Dilara Afroz Khan Rupa delivered speech at the press conference.

Foreign Minister Dr. A. K. Abdul Momen is expected to inaugurate the fair as the chief guest.

Lawmaker Zahid Ahsan Russel will be present as the special guest and FBCCI President Sheikh Fazle Fahim present the keynote paper, titled ''Youth Powerhouse: the key to be a developed nation''.

State minister for power, energy and mineral resources Nasrul Hamid will attend the closing ceremony of the fair on Friday.    

Organisers said that they arranged the fair is to provide a platform to all graduating and fresh graduate students to be connected with the country's leading employers.

The fair will remain open every day from 10:00 am to 06:00 pm.
