NSU tops in latest ‘Webometrics Ranking of World Universities - 2022’

The first private university of Bangladesh, North South University (NSU) has been ranked number one in the latest ‘Webometrics Ranking of World Universities - 2022’ among all the private universities in Bangladesh and ranked fourth place in the combined list of all public and private universities in Bangladesh, says a press release.

The data comes from a report by Webometrics, a Madrid-based educational and research organisation situated in the capital of Spain.

The organisation has released about ranking information in their latest edition of January 2022.

Webometrics has conducted this research activity by ranked 31,000 higher education institutions from more than 200 countries of the world.

Webometrics takes into account the teaching methods of each university, the impact of scientific research, innovation and expansion of new technologies, economic relevance, and the social, cultural and environmental impact in creating this ranking.

In addition, North South University has been ranked in the latest ‘QS Graduate Employability Ranking 2022’ becoming the only private university in Bangladesh to secure a spot in this list of top 500 global institutions. NSU secured a rank of 301-500 on the list. 

NSU has been ranked in the latest ‘QS World University Rankings - Asia 2022’. North South University has proudly held its undisputed spot as the #1 private university in Bangladesh and has achieved a rank of 215.

NSU continues to solidify its position as the leader in higher education in Bangladesh, adds the release.
