Mathematics Olympiad for women concludes at DU  

Mathematics Olympiad for women was held Thursday at Dhaka University (DU) aimed at encouraging female students of different universities of the country.

Women Mathematics Olympiad Committee and A.F Mujibur Rahman Foundation organised the programme at A.F Mujibur Rahman Ganit Bhaban marking the International Women's Day, reports BSS.

Around 200 female students from 25 public and privet universities participated at the Olympiad.

Aiyeesha Mostak, a student of Computer Science and Engineering Department of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), secured first position.

Former Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr Atiur Rahman, Human rights activist Sultana Kamal, DU Science Faculty Dean Professor Dr Muhammad Abdul Aziz, Mathematics Department Chairperson Selina Parvin, Director of Women's Olympiad Committee Professor Chandra Nath Podder and A.F Mujibur Rahman Foundation Trustee M Nurul Alam were present, among others.
