KUET to hold entry tests tomorrow

Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) is set to hold its admission tests on Saturday.

The exams for the first year honours courses of BSC Engineering and Rural and Urban Planning of Bangladesh (BRUP) will be taken on October 27 (Saturday) from 10.00 am to 12.30 pm.

A total of 10,730 candidates applied against 1,065 seats in 16 Department under three faculties, said a KUET press release.

The admission test will be held in five centres of Teachers Training College (TTC), Higher Secondary Teachers Training Institute (HSTTI), Govt Technical Training Centre (Male) and Govt Technical Training Centre (Female) and one in the campus of the university.

The exams will also consider 5 (five) reserved seats of degree and honours courses for 2018-2019 academic year of KUET, BSS reported.

Amongst the 1,065 seats, 60 seats will be allocated in Building Engineering and Construction Management (BECM) department, 120 seats in Civil Engineering (CE), 120 seats in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), 120 seats in Mechanical Engineering, 120 seats in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), 60 seats in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ESE), 60 seats in Industrial and Production Engineering (IPE), 60 seats in Leather Engineering (LE), 60 seats in Textile Engineering (TE), 60 seats in Urban and Regional Planning (URP), 30 seats in Bio-Medical Engineering, 40 seats in Architecture, 60 seats in Material Engineering and Science, 30 seats in Energy Science and Engineering, 30 seats in Chemical Engineering, 30 seats in Mechatronics Engineering department.
