A three-day-long international conference titled on ‘Recent Advances in Mathematical and Physical Sciences’ is underway at Jahangirnagar University (JU) campus.

JU Vice Chancellor Professor Farzana Islam inaugurated the programme on Saturday as the chief guest.

The Mathematical and Physical Sciences Faculty of the university organised the conference at the seminar room of Zahir Raihan auditorium in a bid to exchange their recent views on advancement in Mathematical and Physical Sciences.

The scientists and researchers, from 20 foreign countries, are taking part in the programme while around 150 research papers on science will be present at the function, said Prof Ajit Kumar Majumder, convener of the programme.

The conference will end on January 29, according to a UNB report.
