IU decides to take honours, MA exams following health guidelines

The authorities of Islamic University have decided to take honours and masters' final year examinations in compliance with health guidelines during the COVID-19 outbreak, reports UNB.

The decision was made at IU's 119th academic council meeting on Tuesday, at the university's administration building, with vice-chancellor Professor Shaikh Abdus Salam in the chair.

All departments can take their honours and masters' examinations during the corona situation if they want, IU acting registrar SM Abdul Latif said.

But the residential dormitories of the university will remain closed due to COVID-19 outbreak, he said.

The university authorities, however, will provide transport facilities to the students during the examination period, he added.

Deans, chairpersons and professors of different departments attended the meeting.
