Exchanging ideas for a change

BUP Global Affairs Council (BUPGAC), a club of Bangladesh University of Professionals, has launched an event for the youths 'EiFAC 2.0: Exchanging ideas for a change'. The event aims to enhance the analytical skills and dynamic knowledge of today's youths, along with giving them an insightful learning experience about careers in the development sector. The event's goal is to discover new vocational possibilities, career options, and how to make the most out of virtual opportunities in this era of a competitive workforce.
The three-day event will have three segments with a seminar on the ideologies of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the first day. The seminar will focus on how Bangabandhu's ideologies can be reflected in the leadership of the youth. The second day of the event will consist of a quiz competition with analytical and mathematical questions along with questions related to the Liberation War of Bangladesh and the life of Bangabandhu. The third and final day of the event will have three sessions with expert professionals who will drill the participants on career opportunities.
Asaduzzaman Noor, MP, will be present on the first day of the event as the guest speaker. The sessions on the third day will guide the participants regarding career paths in the development sector.
Tyseer Amin, head of Talent Management at BRAC will conduct a workshop on the Smart Skills for Young Professionals Programme of BRAC. The second workshop will be conducted by Shariar Kabir Choudhury, deputy director of Human Resources and ICT at ActionAid Bangladesh on interview hacks, CV writing, and career prospects to matriculate in the development sector of Bangladesh. The third and final workshop will be on fundamental challenges encountered by graduates in NGOs and will be conducted by Parveen S Huda, senior consultant of Office of Professional Development at Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC).
The President of BUP Global Affairs Council, Md Nazmul Hasan Swapan believes the event will be beneficial for the youth. "The insightful event will not only motivate but also guide them along the career paths in the development sector," he added.
