The University of Dhaka (DU) and a Chinese educational institution decided to establish supportive collaboration between them.
To this end, DU and Guangzhou Institute of Geochemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (GIGCAS) a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Monday.
DU Treasurer Professor Dr Md Kamal Uddin and GIGCAS Director Dr Gan Zhang signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides, says BSS citing a press release.
Under the MoU, teachers, researchers, students and publications and documents on education and research would be exchanged between the two institutions.
DU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Akhtaruzzaman, Science Faculty Dean Professor Dr Md Abdul Aziz and Chemistry Department Chairman Prof Dr Md Azizur Rahman, among others, were present in the meeting held at VC lounge.
