Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) on Tuesday organised the launching ceremony of a book titled ‘Geopolitics of the South China Sea in the Coming Decades’ written by Prof. Md Aminul Karim, Dean of the School of Business of the university.
The ceremony took place the university’s auditorium in the city’s Bashundhara area, according to a press release.
Ambassador M. Shahidul Islam, Secretary General, BIMSTEC attended the ceremony as the Chief Guest.
Ambassador and former Foreign Secretary Md. Touhid Hossain and Prof. Imtiaz A. Hussain, Head, Global Studies and Governance Program, IUB reviewed the book on the occasion, added the release.
Mr. Towhid Samad, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Chittagong Independent University and former Chairman BoT, IUB and Prof. M. Omar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, IUB also spoke in the ceremony.
