A twelve-day winter vacation at Jahangirnagar University (JU) will begin on December 24.
Registrar Abu Bakr Siddique of JU on Monday said all academic activities will remain closed till January 4.
However, he said, the administrative activities will continue till December 31.
The university authorities earlier announced the vacation from January 21 citing the registered graduate election for the senate that will be held on December 30 but later they rescheduled the date in the face of students' resentment on social media.
The class and administrative activities will resume on January 7.
