The government-development partners meeting, Bangladesh Development Forum (BDF), will begin on Wednesday in Dhaka with the presence of high officials from major donor agencies.
The government officials and various development partners will attend the two-day event, third of its kind during the Awami League-led government.
The Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the BDF forum 2018, organised by the Economic Relations Division (ERD), at a city hotel from Wednesday to Thursday.
High officials from the head quarters of the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, Japan and OPEC Fund for International Development will participate at the two-day event.
Besides, representatives from development partners working in Bangladesh will also take part at the government-donor gathering.
Sources said eight thematic and priority areas of Bangladesh will be discussed at the gathering.
The Bangladesh government would apprise the development partners about its required investments for implementing the ongoing seventh five-year plan (SFYP) and achieving the sustainable development goals (SDGs) by 2030.
