Bangladesh Bank has increased the inter-bank rate of a US dollar by 30 paisa in its latest move.
According to media reports, the price of a US dollar now stands at Tk 95. On Monday, the central bank sold 139.0 million US dollars from reserve at this rate.
However, a US dollar was sold at Tk 115 in the open market, commonly known as the kerb market, on Monday.
The difference between interbank and open market rates reaches Tk 20.
