Monthly inflation rate, calculated on the basis of consumer price index (CPD), declined further in February this year to 5.46 per cent from 5.57 per cent in January. The rate was recorded at 5.75 per cent in December last.
Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) released the latest inflation data on Tuesday. It showed that both the food and non-food inflation rates declined in the last month.
Food inflation came down to 4.97 per cent in February from 5.12 per cent in January.
Non-food inflation stood at 6.23 per cent in the past month which was 6.30 per cent in January, according to BBS.
