The seasonally adjusted index of the output at factories and mines stood at 102.2 against the base of 100 for 2010, the ministry said in a preliminary report.
The fall in the recording period comes on the heels of a 0.2 per cent decline in May, the ministry also said.
The ministry kept its basic assessment that industrial production is picking up slowly, reports Xinhua.
The index of industrial shipments, meanwhile, fell by 0.2 per cent to 101.3 and that of inventories was down by 1.8 per cent to 111.5, the ministry's data showed for the recording period.
