The Afghan government's National Procurement Commission (NPC) has approved 35 contracts worth 46 million US dollars, the Presidential Palace said on Wednesday.
The NPC presided by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani reviewed 37 procurement contracts which resulted in approval of 35 contracts worth more than $46 million, reports Xinhua citing a statement.
"Moreover, based on the agenda; the NPC members reviewed the implementation report of previous NPC instructive decisions dozens of projects and road building schemes," it added.
In addition to the NPC members and officials of National Procurement Authority, the participants also include national and international observers, representatives from Integrity Watch Afghanistan (IWA), Upper House of national parliament, Combined Security Transition Command (CSTC-A), the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) and the US Agency for International Development (USAID), according to the statement.
