Canada on Thursday expressed their interest to enhance business and investment in Bangladesh as the bilateral ties between the countries has been strengthened.
Canadian High Commissioner Benoit Prefontaine said it to Md Sirazul Islam, executive chairman of Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) at the latter’s office in the capital.
Canada is giving high priority to Bangladesh and taking a number of steps to facilitate business and investment as business-friendly environment has improved in Bangladesh, the envoy said.
He also lauded Bangladesh for its continuous economic development and stressed the need for exploiting the great opportunity existing in the country.
The BIDA Executive Chairman said they are always ready to provide all kinds of supports to the investors with a view to building a business-friendly atmosphere in the country.
