Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal on Friday hoped that the implementation of the proposed national budget for FY2022-2023 would make the economy stronger and more vibrant.
“Hopefully our economy will be stronger and more vibrant with the implementation of this budget,” he said at a post-budget conference in the city’s Osmani Smriti Auditorium in the afternoon.
The finance minister on Thursday unveiled the Tk 678,064-crore national budget for the financial year 2022-2023 with special focus on economic recovery from uncertainties caused by Covid-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine war, reports UNB.
At the press conference, he said the new expectations of the people and facilities for them were considered in the budget.
“The budget put emphasis on modernization and the use of technology in every sector,” said Kamal.
Agriculture Minister Muhammad Abdur Razzaque, Education Minister Dipu Moni, Health Minister Zahid Maleque, State Minister for Planning Dr Shamsul Alam and Bangladesh Bank Governor Fazle Kabir, among others, were present.
