The central bank has asked the mobile banking customers not to keep more than Tk 300,000 in their accounts with effect from January next year.
The Bangladesh Bank fixed the ceiling on Monday with an aim to stop abuse of mobile financial services (MFS).
The customers, having more than Tk 300,000 in their MFS account, will have to bring the sum within the aforesaid limit by December 31 this year.
A bdnews24.com report, citing a central bank notice, says the customers can transfer the money to their bank accounts from respective MFS accounts within the stipulated time.
