The central bank of Bangladesh has extended suspension of adverse classification of any loan for more three months to facilitate business activities that have been adversely affected by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
Under the latest relaxations, all the scheduled banks have been instructed not to adversely classify any loans until December 31 instead of September 30 earlier from the states of January 01, 2020, according to a notification, issued by the Bangladesh Bank (BB) on Monday.
Besides, the repayment of all loan installments has been deferred from January 01 to December 31 this calendar year, officials said.
