The country's apparel export to USA declined by 4.93 per cent to $4.35 billion during January to October period of 2017 calendar year.
Bangladesh fetched $ 4.58 billion from apparel exports to its single largest destination during the corresponding period of 2016, according to data released by the Office of Textiles and Apparel (OTEXA) under the US Department of Commerce.
On the other hand, Bangladesh’s competitor Vietnam witnessed a 6.79 per cent growth during the same period.
According to available data, Vietnamese exports stood at $9.84 billion in first 10 months of the current calendar year, OTEXA data showed.
China's exports grew negatively by 3.64 per cent to $23.16 billion during the same period, the data showed.
