Kochipata, a magazine for children and juveniles, celebrated its first founding anniversary by awarding its junior writers and renowned personalities.
The publication also organised painting competitions at four educational institutions to mark the occasion.
Held at National Press Club in the capital on Friday, the celebration was attended by member of parliament advocate Shamsun Nahar as chief guest and poets Abdul Muqit Chowdhury, Mohiuddin Akbar and litterateur Shamima Afrin as special guests.
Editor of the magazine Aleya Begum Alo and publisher Saiful Faruki spoke on the occasion, said a press release.
At the programme, a presentation on parenting was held. And four junior writers and 55 children, who won the painting competitions, were awarded.
