Dorothy Law Nolte, an American writer and family counselor, once said that children learn what they live. Then they grow up to live what they have learned.

The old debate of 'Nature vs. Nurture' clearly shows how the environment plays a prominent role in developing a child's psychology. Here nature represents the traits, heredity, or the impact of DNA/ RNA, while nurture is all about the little surrounding and upbringing.

Though genetic predisposition has greater influence, surroundings mean nothing less. Environmental factors play a crucial role in children's nourishment, improvement, development, growth, and schooling.

How should the children be surrounded?

Anything can be a lad's environment. The surroundings around them can impact them, from culture to objects. So they should be in a controlled, imaginative environment to develop certain skills to cope with the world.

Is colour an important element?

Colour has the potential to stimulate, excite, soothe, rejuvenate and even fluster. In addition, colours can tinker a substantial role in nurturing your toddler's mind.

From childhood, we've known that Blue is for boys and pink is for girls. Even though It's true to some extent, not everyone has identical fondness. The importance of picking the right hue for your toddler should be prioritised. While red seemed to encourage aggressive behaviour, brown shades are for elderly persons.

Colour's influence on the mindset

Did you know that colour and emotions are interlinked? The relationship between colour and mood, action, feelings, and other psychological reactions is studied in colour psychology to choose the best hue for your room or ambiance.

Yellow is known for its spreading happiness and radiance to the room. Blue, opposite red, soothes youngsters' minds and removes aggressiveness.

The royal colour, also known as purple, enhances the inner creativity of toddlers. Green, on the other hand, provides a natural vibe to your child's mind.

Cool tones like teal, aqua, and lavender create a peaceful aura around the house and help your young mind grow at its best. Happy colours like bright yellow are likely to cheer your mind, whereas gloomy colours like cloudy Blue are likely to do the opposite. Mixing the two extremes, black and white, we get gray, the colour that is soothing to the eyes.

Importance of colour on toddlers' mind

Colour plays a significant role in object identification, improves their disruptive lingo skills, and children learn new hues. Bringing colours to your nest will increase creativity and imagination.

According to studies, colour is critical in developing children's cognitive and motor skills. It affects the psychological reaction and psychological health of young minds.

Children display their full potential and learn in spaces where they are provided with a more colourful way and opportunity to learn.

Kindergartens use different shades and figures to make the learning process more fruitful and make the students spontaneous. We tend to love colourful things rather than black and white as a colour. When a child paints with attention, it stays calm, finds joy in the mind, and grows patience.

Children learn new words or sentences from a variety of colour combinations. They will soon learn to create new words or sentences if they can describe their drawing. Drawing using crayon paints, coloured marker pens, colour pencils, or other colouring materials enhances children's performance.

According to Dr. Puneet Chawla, a professional Vaastu consultant and expert from South India, colours play an important role in bringing balance to our minds and bodies and stimulates energy. Converting your child's room colours will set rules that can give you positive results making your child obedient and progressive.
