An elderly woman was killed after falling off the rooftop of a three-story building in Paikpara area of Mirpur in the city on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Mamtaz Begum, 65, wife of late Waliullah Patwari.
Deceased's nephew Ariful Islam said Mamtaz fell down while she was watering plants on the rooftop.
She was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), but the on-duty doctors declared her dead, said Bachchu Mia, in-charge of DMCH police out-post, reports UNB.
