BOGURA: Waterlogging has turned out to be a never-ending problem at Bhutbari village of Bhandarbari union in Dhunat upazila of Bogura district, especially during rainy season, in absence of a proper drainage and sewerage system.

Water enters more than a hundred homesteads at the village causing immense suffering.

The lone road at the village is submerged for waterlogging after a short rainfall.

Waterlogging causes intolerable miseries for the villagers during monsoon every year.

Though villagers hope of getting a permanent solution by next year, it lastly remains unfulfilled to their utter disappointment.

Besides, waterlogging also greatly impacts the local agriculture. It becomes difficult to cultivate crops in the farmlands of the village for water stagnation.

Even at a time when people have to undergo unending sufferings for the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, no steps are seen to come from the public representatives for its solution.

Although many development works are done in the upazila every year, this urgent issue is not taken into consideration.

So it has become a public demand to rid the village of the menacing water-logging immediately.

On behalf of the villagers, young men Habibur, Abu Hanif and Korban Ali said they have been facing suffering for water-logging for the last five years. Stagnant water has made villagers' life extremely miserable.

People are facing sufferings for water-logging in almost every house.
