The High Court on Tuesday said the way Viqarunnisa Noon School and College Principal Kamrun Nahar spoke in the alleged leaked phone conversation is ‘unexpected and unaccepted’.
Expressing the remark during the hearing of a writ petition, a virtual HC bench of Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Md Mostafizur Rahman also asked the inquiry committee, formed by the education ministry, to submit its report by August 30.
Confirming the matter, Deputy Attorney General Bipul Bagmar told The Financial Express that the HC bench set the next hearing for further action in this regard on September 1.
The probe committee will release the report shortly, he said.
Earlier, advocate Abdullah Harun Bhuiyan, a petitioner's lawyer, filed the writ petition to the HC seeking its directives on the authorities concerned to launch a departmental inquiry into the incident.
Mohammad Morshed Alam, a guardian of two students of the school, filed the writ petition in the concerned branch of the High Court on August 8.
The guardian also sought the directives from the court on the authorities concerned to refrain the Viqarunnisa Noon School and College Principal from discharging duties during the investigation period.
On July 26, the alleged leaked conversation between the principal Kamrun Nahar and Mir Sahabuddin Tipu, the leader of the guardian forum of the school went viral on social media platforms.
