The members of Detective Branch of police on Sunday seized 50,000 pieces of contraband Yaba pills from a Pajero vehicle with VIP flagstand and government sticker from Fakinnirhat area of Karnafuli in the district.
Law enforcers also arrested a Yaba smuggler, identified as Jasimuddin, during the drive.
Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) DB inspector Mohammad Mohsin said they conducted the special drive on information that a Pajero vehicle with VIP flagstand and government sticker was being used to smuggle Yaba, at around 3.45pm in the afternoon.
To escape the eyes of law enforcers the miscreants used the VIP flag stand and government sticker, he said, reports UNB.
