Eminent journalist Hasanuzzaman Khan has died at the age of 69.
The former associate editor of the New Nation breathed his last at his Mirpur residence around 9:00pm on Sunday.
His namaz-e-janaza (funeral prayer) was held at 11:00am on Monday at JPC premises, news agency UNB reported citing a press statement.
Hasanuzzaman, who was also news editor of the Daily Independent, is survived by wife, two daughters, a host of relatives and well-wishers.
JPC President Mohammad Shafiqur Rahman and General Secretary Farida Yasmin expressed profound shock at the death of Hasanuzzaman, also a permanent member of JPC.
They also conveyed their deep sympathies to the bereaved family members.
