Vehicles remain almost immobile on Dhaka-Chittagong highway, 40-km tailback

Commuters' suffering peaked during a 40-kilometre long tailback stretching from Eliotganj to Meghna Bridgeon the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway on Tuesday.

Vehicular movement remained shut from Eliotganj Bridge in Daudkandi upazila to Meghna Bridge of Dhaka-Chittagong highway since early Tuesday.

Later, the vehicles started to move slowly from morning around 9am, reports UNB.

Police was trying to control the traffic congestion, said Abul Kalam Azad, officer-in-charge of Daudkandi Police Station.
