A probe team has collected samples of blood from the sufferers of unknown disease that claimed four lives in Hathazari of Chattogram.
The team consisting of the members of Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) and Extended Programme on Immunisation (EPI) arrived Chattogram from Dhaka on Monday to investigate the 'unknown' disease.
The civil surgeon of Chattogram, Dr Muhammad Azizur Rahman Siddique said the team paid a visit to the Tripura Palli area, talked with the members of the deceased families and visited the children who are admitted at hospital.
They also collected the samples of their blood, he said, reports UNB.
The officials of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) and World Health Organisation (WHO) are also scheduled to visit the area in the afternoon, Dr Siddique said.
Besides, the deaths of the four, 28 others fell sick in a yet to be ascertained disease outbreak in Tripura Palli of Hathazari over the past six days.
