A man and his nephew were electrocuted in Joyram Anwar village under Pairaband union of Mithapukur upazila in Rangpur on Thursday.
"The deceased were identified as Alamgir Hossain Alam, 32, son of Mansur Ali, and his nephew Askar Ali, 30, son of Lutfar Rahman of the village," Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Mithapukur Thana Mozammel Haque said.
Alamgir and his nephew were electrocuted this noon while they were removing tree branches with torn cables over under construction power supply lines of Palli Bidyut Samity (PBS)-1, he added.
"Being informed, police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies," the OC added, reports BSS.
