Two Italy-returnees hospitalised with ‘coronavirus symptoms’

Two more people were sent to a hospital with the ‘symptoms of coronavirus ‘after their arrival at Hazrat Shahajalal International Airport from Italy on Monday.

"They were sent to Kuwait Bangladesh Friendship Government Hospital as they had symptoms of coronavirus infection," said Shahriar Sazzad, health officer-in-charge of Health Centre at Hazrat Shahajalal International Airport, reports UNB.

Earlier on Sunday, first three coronavirus infected patients were detected in Bangladesh.

The infected patients include two men and one woman, have been kept in quarantine.

Prof Meerjady Sabrina Flora, director of the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) said no new case of coronavirus infection was reported in the country in the last 24 hours till Monday morning.

The death toll from the viral outbreak Coronavirus that began in China has climbed to 3,830 till Monday.

It has infected 110,071 people globally while a total of 62,280 patients (94 percent of total infected) made recovery.
