The Forest Department on Thursday night filed a case against two honey collectors over a recent fire incident in Madrassachila area in Sharankhola upazila under the east range of the Sundarbans.
Divisional Forest Officer of Sundarbans (East) Md Saidul Islam said two honey collectors of the area -- Md Alam Hawladar, 43, son of Najir Ahmed of Rajapur village in Sharankhola upazila and Al Amin Hawladar, 33, son of Jalil Hawladar of the same village were made accused in the case, reports UNB.
Officer-in-charge of Sharankhola Police Station Md Abdul Jalil said they are trying to arrest the accused.
The fire broke out in the area on May 26 which was doused with the help of fire service and local people the following day.
