The authorities have retrieved two more bodies from the Turag River, taking the death toll in the capsize of a trawler in Dhaka's Gabtoli to five.
Several passengers of the vessel that sunk near the Aminbazar coalfield on Saturday are still missing, according to some locals, reports bdnews24.com.
Addressing the matter, SP Faridul Islam of River Police said, "Two more bodies have been recovered. About four or five people are still missing."
Earlier, divers of the Fire Service recovered the bodies of a woman in her thirties and two children who were around 5 to 6 years old.
The authorities are still searching for survivors, according to Faridul.
Earlier, Alamgir Sheikh, chief of Aminbazar police, said several people had boarded the sand-laden trawler to cross the river.
Ten people were rescued, while seven or eight others were missing, he had added.
