The Supreme Court has rejected the bail appeal filed by BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia in the Zia Charitable Trust corruption case.
The Appellate Division led by chief justice Syed Mahmud Hossain rejected the appeal after hearing on the appeal that began at 10:00am on Thursday, according to local media reports.
The authorities allowed only 30 lawyers from each side into the courtroom.
Ahead of the hearing, the authorities ramped up security measures in and outside the top court.
