Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind at many places across the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am today, BSS reports.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at some places over the country in 24-hour till 9am tomorrow,” said a met office bulletin issued here this morning.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the bulletin added.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am today was recorded at 71 mm at Chandpur in Chattogram division.
The country’s maximum temperature yesterday was recorded at 36.5 degrees Celsius at Sayedpur in Rangpur division and minimum temperature today was 23.2 degrees Celsius at Gopalgonj in Dhaka division.
Today’s sunset is at 6.38 pm and tomorrow’s sunrise at 5.30 am at Dhaka.
