Rain/thundershower with intense lightning flashes and temporary gusty/squally wind is likely to occur in most parts of the country, including Dhaka, as the severe Cyclonic Storm 'ASANI' over West-Central Bay and adjoining Southeast Bay moved Northwestwards and now lies over West-Central Bay and adjoining area, according to a Met Office bulletin on Monday.
The 24-hour met office bulletin said maritime ports of Bangladesh have been advised to keep hoisted Distant Warning Signal No. 2.
Apart from this, a mild heat wave is sweeping over Sylhet division and the districts of Madaripur, Rangamati, Cumilla, M. Court, Feni, Khulna and Jashore and it may gradually abate from some places, it said.
Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the forecast says.
In its outlook for the subsequent two days, it said rain/thundershower activity may increase.
