Bangladesh working on three-year roadmap to reduce import dependency of cooking oil
Agriculture Minister Dr Abdur Razzaq has said the government is implementing three- a year roadmap to reduce import dependency of cooking oil through 50 per cent production of oil.
“We are importing 90 per cent cooking oil to meet domestic demand costing Tk 250 billion each year,” he said while visiting the mustard crop field in Dhanbari upazila of Tangail district, reports BSS.
As part of the three-year roadmap, mustard cultivation has increased sharply in the country, Razzaq added.
