Three teenage sisters, who were reported missing by their aunt in Dhaka's Adabar, have been found in their father’s home in Jashore.
Among them, one studies in higher secondary while the two others are SSC exam candidates.
Their father lives in Jashore, having remarried after their mother's death in 2013.
Adabar police took the sisters to Jashore Kotwali Model Police Station on Friday evening, said Mrtyunjoy Dey Sajal, a deputy commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
“They came to their father’s home in Jashore from their aunt’s place,” said Md Tajul Islam, chief of Jashore Kotwali Model Police Station.
The sisters usually live with their younger aunt in Khilgaon but moved to the Shekhertek area in Adabar to stay at their elder aunt's place before the SSC tests as their exam centre is in Dhanmondi, police said.
Their aunt filed a general diary around 11:30 pm on Thursday after the three sisters left the house without informing anyone and did not return, said Adabar police chief Kazi Shahiduzzaman.
According to their aunt, the two sisters went to take their first tests from Adabar and have two more exams remaining, says a bdnews24.com report.
