Three plane crash survivors return to Dhaka

Three Bangladeshi survivors of the US-Bangla plane crash returned Dhaka on Friday afternoon from Kathmandu of Nepal.

The survivors are: Mehedi Hasan, his wife Sayeeda Kamrunnahar Swarna and sister-in-law Almun Nahar Annie.

They arrived at Shahjalal International Airport by a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines at 3:35 pm, according to a local news agency.

US-Bangla Airlines General Manager (Communications and Public Relations) Kamrul Islam said the three survivors will be taken burn unit of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.

Earlier On Monday, a US-Bangla Airlines flight BS211, which flew from Dhaka to Kathmandu carrying 67 passengers and four crew members, crashed at Tribhuvan International Airport in Nepal.

At least 50 people, including 26 Bangladeshis, died in the crash.

A total of 10 Bangladeshis survived the crash.

Among them, Shahreen Ahmed was brought back to Dhaka from Kathmandu on Thursday.

She was admitted to the burn and plastic surgery unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). She is now undergoing treatment at its ICU.

Meanwhile, Rizwanul Hoque was taken to Singapore from Kathmandu’s OM Hospital on Wednesday.

Another survivor Eakub Ali has been discharged by Norvic Hospital in Nepal.

His brother Dipu Bepari wants to take him to Delhi, according to Bangladesh embassy in Nepal.

Imrana Kabir Hashi, a teacher at Rajshahi University of Science and Technology, was still in hospital care in Kathmandu.

Among the rest three, Sheikh Rashed Rubaiyat and Kabir Hossain are under intensive care and Md Shahin Bepari is admitted at the burn unit of the hospital.
