A customer of e-commerce company Evaly has filed three separate cases against four officials including its Chairman Shamima Nasrin and her husband and company Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mohammad Rassel.
Businessman Mohammad Faruk filed the cheque dishonor cases against the couple with the court of Metropolitan Magistrate Saddam Hossain on Wednesday.
Recording the statement of the plaintiff, the court issued a summons for both accused to appear before it on February 15 next, reports BSS.
The plaintiff alleged that he had ordered goods from Evaly, paying Tk 0.73 million to get the goods within 45 days of the order.
After passing the 45 days' time schedule, Evaly gave him two City Bank and one eastern Bank cheque of Tk 1.07 million, which was ultimately dishonored once he tried to cash it.
Several cases were filed with different areas in the country against them.
