Rain and hailstorm battered different parts of Singra upazila of Natore on Wednesday evening, damaging boro crops and houses.
Local people said storm swept over Chatardighi and Ramananda Khajura union of the upaizla. It lasted for about an hour, according to a news agency report.
The tin roofs of various houses and boro crops on some 1,500 hectares were damaged by the hailstorm, said Upazila Agriculture Officer Sazzad Hossain.
