The State has filed a petition with the chamber judge seeking a stay on the High Court order that granted bail for six months to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in two cases of Cumilla.
The hearing on the petition is likely to be held any time today (Monday), said Deputy Attorney General Md Bashir Ullah, UNB reported.
Earlier in the morning, the High Court granted bail for six months to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in two violence cases of Cumilla and denied in one defamation case of Narail.
