Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury paid a courtesy call on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Wednesday.
The Speaker met the President after exchanging greetings with him on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
President's Press Secretary Joynal Abedin briefed reporters after the meeting.
"During the meeting, the Speaker apprised the President of various aspects of the upcoming budget session of the Jatiya Sangsad," he said.
The budget session of the 11th Parliament will begin on June 11 while Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal will place the national budget for 2019-20 fiscal year on June 13.
The President will be present at the Jatiya Sangsad when the finance minister delivers his budget speech in the House.
