Social media will remain under surveillance to prevent provocation centring Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of the Hindu community.
Public security division secretary Mostafa Kamal made the disclosure on Wednesday. He was talking to reporters after a meeting with reporters on the overall law and order situation during the festival.
He said there will be more than 30,000 puja mandaps across the country.
The Hindu community people have been requested not to play any types of drum from 12:30pm to 1:30pm on the day of immersion of idols.
Besides, special security measures have been taken for each mandap. Plying of motorcycles will also be kept limited on security ground, the secretary added, reports UNB.
