Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, the state-run national cultural centre, is set to set up its branch offices at union parishad level across the country.
As part of the initiative, Shilpakala Academy will open its branch at Baruakhali Union Parishad at Nawabganj in Dhaka tomorrow (Saturday), a press release said.
Shilpakala Academy Director General Liyakat Ali Lucky will inaugurate the branch at a programme on Nawabganj Baruakhali High School premises at 3pm.
Nawabganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Tofazzel Hossain, officer-in-charge of local police station Mostafa Kamal, upazila Awami League president Nasir Uddin Ahmed Jhilu, its general secretary Jalal Uddin and Baruakhali High School head teacher MM Humayun Kabir will be present there.
A cultural function will be held to mark the branch inauguration, the release said.
