Several hundred makeshift shops on both sides of Dhaka-Aricha highway were demolished on Monday in an eviction drive conducted by the Roads and Highways Division.
A team of RHD, led by executive magistrate Mahbubur Rahman Faruquee, started the drive around 11:00am on the road stretching from Savar Bus Stand area to Genda Bus Stand area, reports UNB.
