A schoolboy reportedly took his own life by hanging himself at his house in Tajpur village of Phultala upazila of Khulna district on Tuesday night.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Siam, 16, a grade X student. He was the son of Ataharul Islam Rony of the village, reports UNB.
Mohammad Monir, officer-in-charge of Phultala Police Station, said they recovered the body around 8:00pm and sent it to a local hospital for autopsy.
It is still unclear why the boy killed himself.
